This Passover, We're all in
The Haggadah teaches that in every generation, each person must see themselves as if they personally left Egypt. That message still matters today.
Jewish life does not sustain itself. It thrives when we show up. It's a reminder that freedom is something we are called to protect, strengthen, and pass forward.
This Passover, Federation is all in for our community, for Israel, and for the future of the Jewish people.

What it means to be all in
Jewish Federation of San Diego exists to strengthen Jewish life locally, in Israel, and around the world. The work we do reflects the very themes Passover teaches: resilience, responsibility, and collective care.

Our Impact Is Built on Four Pillars

Caring For Jews in Need
The Passover story teaches us to recognize suffering and respond with compassion.
Federation supports individuals and families who need help most, including Holocaust survivors and community members facing unexpected hardship.
Your support makes it possible to:
- Provide chaplaincy care and crisis support to those facing illness, loss, or isolation
- Engage and connect Holocaust Survivors through programs like New Life Club
- Step in as a Guarantor for those who need financial assistance but have no safety-net to access interest-free support from Hebrew Free Loan
This Passover, we are all in for Jews in need.
Building a Vibrant Jewish Future
Passover is a holiday centered around questions, learning, and tradition. At every Seder, the youngest child asks the Four Questions, ensuring the story continues.
Federation invests in experiences that don’t just teach Jewish life — they make it personal, lived, and lasting.
Your support helps:
- Open doors to Jewish camp, travel, and immersive experiences that shape identity and belonging for Jewish youth and teens
- Cultivate a pipeline of leaders who are prepared to guide, support, and sustain Jewish community into the future
- Expand opportunities for engagement, welcoming families and individuals of all ages into Jewish life and fostering lasting connection
This Passover, we are all in for the future.

Connecting With Israel & Global Jewry
Passover is rooted in the birth of a people. It reminds us that Jewish life has always transcended borders. We are connected across oceans, generations, and communities.
Federation strengthens the bond between San Diego, Israel, and Jewish communities worldwide through partnership, presence, and sustained support.
Your support helps:
- Strengthen our partner region Sha’ar HaNegev as it rebuilds and heals, and support Israel and those most impacted by the latest conflict
- Mobilize our community in moments of collective grief and solidarity
- Enable global partners like JDC and JAFI to reach Jews in need around the world
- Expand access to Israel experiences for the next generation
In moments of crisis and in moments of hope, we show up for one another. And as conflict intensifies across Israel and the region, our collective responsibility to stand with one another—and ensure our community is supported and prepared—has never been more urgent.
This Passover, we are all in for Israel and global Jewry.
Creating a Resilient and Secure Community
At the Seder table, we taste bitterness so we never forget what our people have endured.
That message feels especially urgent today, as antisemitism spreads across campuses, online spaces, and in our communities, and threats to Jewish safety continue to rise both globally and here at home.
Federation helps ensure that Jewish life remains not only vibrant, but safe.
Your support helps strengthen:
- Security at synagogues, schools, and Jewish institutions
- Access to public safety funding and coordinated protection efforts
- Holocaust and antisemitism education across San Diego
- Community-wide resilience through advocacy and training
This Passover, we are all in for a secure Jewish community.

Will you go all in with us?
Our ancestors dreamed of a future where Jewish life could flourish freely. Today, we build that future together.
From slavery to freedom. From uncertainty to resilience. From fear to strength.
This Passover, are you all in?
